Lawrence K. Drill, is a registered architect in New Jersey (license #08430), and joined DRILL CONSTRUCTION Company, Inc. in 1986. Experienced in all phases of construction, including project design, project management, contract, bidding, construction management and design/build construction, he has worked with a wide range of clients including The Bayer Corporation, Carnegie Hall, United Airlines, Federal Express, 1st Occupational Center of New Jersey, Newark Symphony Hall, Walgreen’s, International Technology Corporation and M. Polaner & Sons. Larry is a Director of the Building Division of ACCNJ, and a former Director of the AIA Newark & Suburban. He is on the Board of the Mental Health Association of Essex County.
Roger L. Drill has over 30 years of wide-ranging design and construction experience. Project portfolio includes power generating and distribution facilities, waste facilities, retail stores, aircraft hangars, truck and auto facilities and warehousing. His has worked with clients including Penske Corp, United Rentals, Vornado Realty Trust, Mandelbaum Firm, Burns & Roe, PSEG, Westinghouse, RCA, JB Hunt Transport, Cordis, Novartis and Meridian Air Charter.
David Drill has been with the company since 1990. He is experienced in project management, cost estimating and subcontract procurement. David has worked with clients such as Hertz, Cordis, Broad National Bank, Columbus Hospital, Caldwell College, and a number of school boards.
Philip S. Drill has been a principal in DRILL CONSTRUCTION since 1975. He was Vice-President of our parent company, Max Drill Construction, from 1956 to 1975. Philip has managed the construction of communications-based projects such as switching stations and satellite receiving facilities, and has modernized and altered existing facilities for large clients like Sprint, GTE and RCA.
James Gagnon is the senior project manager for DRILL CONSTRUCTION with responsibilities for Drill’s telecommunication operations in the North Eastern United States. Jim has been with Drill since 1997 when he was an assistant project manager. He became project manager in 1999 and senior project manager in 2004.
Richard J. Drill, 1926-2006, attended Rutgers University and graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois with a BS in Architectural Engineering, and was a registered architect. Dick served in the U.S. Air Force as a Second Lieutenant, Navigator Bombardier during World War II, flew 29 missions, and received the Distinguished Flying Cross. After working as a consulting structural engineer, he became a principal of Max Drill Inc. and later co-founded Drill Construction., serving as President for 25 years, and was also Co-chairman of the Board. Additionally, he sat on the Board of Overseers of the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University, was a member of the Board of the Mental Health Association of Essex County, and was a Director of the Lautenberg Foundation for Cancer Research.
We have eight decades and three generations’ worth of experience constructing and renovating institutional, commercial, and industrial facilities. Although the majority of our work has been in New Jersey and the surrounding states, our team has had operations in over 30 states and in locations as far- flung as Greenland and the Bahamas.

DRILL CONSTRUCTION has considerable experience in data and communication work, retail centers, educational facilities, pre-engineered metal buildings, zoos, historical renovations, transportation facilities, interior fit outs and medical facilities. Our clients demand – and we deliver quality construction in a timely fashion with minimal disruption to their businesses. This is why the majority of our clients hire us again and again.

Our bonding capacity is in excess of $20,000,000. Our projects range from $50,000 to $10,000,000. We have the financial capability of completing projects at minimal cost and maximum speed.

We provide general construction, construction management (at risk), construction management (as advisor), or design/build services. When needed, we provide fast-track services. We excel in projects that require a high degree of coordination.

Every project is managed by a principal of the firm and staffed with a full-time on-site superintendent with a minimum of 10 years experience. Every member of the DRILL CONSTRUCTION team is trained to identify potential problems well before they can affect the project and staff members are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
